Morning Activities
Campers try each of the following activities: Nature Studies, Sports and Games, Archery, Adventure Craft, Arts and Crafts, Music and Drama, Survival Skills and Challenge Course. Activities challenge co-ed groups of 6-8 campers to try new things as well as enjoy old favorites.
Swimming
Certified lifeguards supervise free swim, swim skill development, and pool games.
Nature Studies
Campers gain a better understanding of the natural world through multi-sensory environmental awareness and natural history activities. Nature craft, reflection, creative writing, and nature hikes are incorporated into the program.
Survival Skills
Leave-no-trace camping practices are taught as well as orienteering skills, primitive tool making, shelter building, and wilderness work projects to protect and restore hiking trails.
Challenge Course
Low and high elements offer campers individual and group challenges. Group building, communication, and trust initiatives prepare campers for the course.
Garden and Nutrition
Help grow some of the food we'll eat at camp, and learn about where healthy foods come from!
Arts and Crafts
A variety of projects offer campers opportunities to use different mediums for self expression. Lots of fun activities like candle making, tie dye, basketry, beading, mask and hat making.
Archery
Certified instructors teach safe range commands and archery skills. Small group instruction with opportunities for individual practice.
Sports and Games
Cooperative group games are emphasized at camp...we know LOTS of games and love to learn new ones! Sports skill development is also offered for those wanting more practice.
Music and Drama
Improvisational theater games, handmade instruments, kitchen sink bands, drumming, group singing and performances are offered as part of the general camp program.
Afternoon Activities
Campers choose from a variety of games and projects developed by staff members. Some previous offerings have been: Candle Making, Building Gnome Shelters, Sock Wrestling, Capture The Flag, Wild Raspberry Hike, and Open Archery Range. Afternoon activities provide campers with the opportunity to make choices.
Free Swim and Games
During the warmest part of each day, campers enjoy the pool, quiet activities in the shade, and/or more active games on the field and basketball court.
Evening Activities
Campers gather each evening to participate in an activity with the entire community. Evening Activities include Skit Night, Campfire, All-Camp Game, and Special Guest Performance. Each week of camp hosts a different special guest. Past performances have included live band concerts, puppet shows, theatrical plays, and workshops on science and nature.
