Camp Waubanong

Summer...Woods...Friends...Swimming...Camp!

Since 1924 Camp Waubanong has been providing a quality camping program that inspires the natural discovery of self, community, and environment at an affordable cost. With an emphasis on working cooperatively, children gain a sense of responsibility and independence. In a wilderness setting children are able to take a break from their everyday lives and challenge themselves in ways they never have. Our simple setting allows for creative activities such as foraging for raspberries, building outdoor shelters, an evening of skits, cooking with foods from the garden, and playing in the rain.

The small size (55 kids per session) and quality of the staff makes Camp Waubanong a comfortable place for children (and their families) to immediately feel a part of. Counselors get to know each and every child, and connect with camper families. All staff members are carefully chosen for their maturity, ability to serve as role models to their campers and provide a safe and caring environment. Many of our counselors come from top New England colleges where they are education majors and aspiring teachers, and some have been campers here themselves. Campers also benefit from a strong network of support staff, including the director, assistant director, head counselors, a licensed nurse, and program heads. At Camp Waubanong each child is seen as an individual and valued as a community member.

Kids who've been here tend to return, and bring their siblings and friends. Many campers have been with us in previous years, some for several sessions in a summer.

Please feel free to contact us for any reason, big or small.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at camp this summer!
