CAMP WAUBANONG:

A Natural Place
for Kids to Grow

Welcome to Camp Waubanong

Camp Waubanong is a co-ed, non-profit residential summer camp for kids ages 8-16 in West Brattleboro, Vermont. Our programs integrate variety of traditional camp activities  including swimming, arts and crafts, and lots of music  to inspire in children natural discovery, cooperation, responsibility and independence. We are a registered 501c3 nonprofit, and we have been in operation since 1924.

If all of us reach out and ...

__ give a brochure to two of our friends or neighbors

__think of a newsletter or online forum that might carry a listing about camp

__consider the groups we are part of and places we go where brochures and posters might reach people

__tell us about events you know of where our new Director might set up a table and meet new families

So email our new Director, Kirk Stephens,  today to request brochures and posters and pass on your best ideas for reaching a new generation of children with the Waubanong experience!

$50 rebate for recruiting new campers

The Trustees of Camp Waubanong instituted a new program this year to bring in new campers into the Camp family.  If you're an enrolled camper and you help to register a new camper (that's never been to Camp before), you are eligible for a $50 rebate on your Camp registration fee.  This is valid even if you've already paid in full.  There is a limit of one rebate per new camper registered per summer. Download the coupon at  and learn more at Camp's website.
Thank you.  Thank you.

Camp Waubanong Friends and Family never disappoint because we all know how special a place Camp is and we want to see it continue for our children and their children.  Thank you to all the generous people who made this year's Spring Appeal a wonderful success.  A reopened archery field with new equipment and road enhancements are two of the improvements made possible by our friends' generosity.

WISH LIST for SUMMER 2010

As we prepare for this coming year, there are several items the Trustees wish for.

  • Perhaps you have a van or extra vehicle you could loan Camp Waubanong for the five-weeks Camp is in session?  The vehicle would be fully insured by Camp but would save us thousands of dollars.
  • Additional archery equipment to supplement the new equipment being purchased.
  • Books, games, and puzzles, appropriate for children ages 8-16, for Buchanan Hall

Please contact Director Kirk Stephens by email or telephone (802-254-8026) if you can help with these items.  Thank you.

New Online Payment Option!

Starting in 2010, it is no longer necessary to send in a check to reserve your spot for Camp Waubanong. This year you can complete the entire process via the Internet. As in previous years, Camper information can be submitted online but now the deposit and full payment can also be made using a secure link with your credit card or PayPal. Online registration and pWaubanong Trailayment is available at our web site, www.campwaubanong.org (click on Registration). Be a Friend

The latest and most popular Camp Facebook page is hosted by our very own camper, Ursula Casey.  Go to Ursala's Camp Waubanong Facebook Page, "LIKE" the page, and check out the pictures and information about this coming season.

Camp is also starting a "Friends of Camp Waubanong" for those families and friends that want to volunteer to help Camp but not join the Board.  Send a note to our director, Kirk Stephens at campwaubanong@gmail.com if you're interested.
